There are no words for the grief, suffering, pain, and devastation I have experienced every single day since what was supposed to be a minor surgery with Dr. Daniel Perez. According to my subsequent medical evaluations, critical parts of my skull base were removed, and muscles and tendons were disrupted from my palate and skull base—outcomes I did not consent to. Since that surgery, I have experienced severe difficulty holding my head upright and breathing normally do to lack muscle anchorage. Afterward, I struggled to obtain honest and consistent answers about what had been done during the procedure. While the School was investigating my concerns, Dr. Perez left the institution and relocated to Southwest Virginia Oral Surgery. I was left trying to understand what had happened while navigating devastating physical consequences and searching for doctors who could help me. I continue to endure unimaginable physical suffering while searching for answers and treatment. Every medical appointment has become an enormous physical challenge, and I am deeply frightened for my future. Patients place an extraordinary amount of trust in their doctors. I will continue asking Dr. Perez the question : Why was this done? Until I receive an honest account. Moving away, changing states or practices does not erase the questions or the impact a patient continues to live with.

My husband had 2 teeth pulled and bone grafted in preparation for implants. The people were so friendly and kind. They were ahead of schedule and got him right in 45 minutes earlier than his appointment. I went to their website the night before to find answers to any questions I had, and their website was so informative. I was so impressed that I didnt even have questions the day of. They explained everything once he was done, and any typical expectations or what to look for after a procedure. If I ever need teeth work done outside of normal practices, I will go here for sure!
